Ticket Sales Terms and Conditions

Terms & Conditions for Cheese and Grain Ticket Sales

Frome Cheese and Grain Limited is a registered charity which hires out the Cheese and Grain building to individual and organisational event promoters. Tickets are sold on behalf of promoters and the Cheese and Grain makes the charges outlined in these terms in order to cover the costs it incurs processing ticket sales.

Personal details

personal details are requested in order that we can contact the customer in the event of a cancellation or change to the event. The Cheese and Grain What’s On brochure and other occasional promotional material may be sent to customers. Customers can choose not to receive this information. This information is not passed to any other individual or organisation.

Frome Festival Limited and other external sales

The Cheese and Grain acts as the box office for Frome Festival Limited, the registered charity that runs the annual Frome Festival, and for other selected organisations. Statistical information only is shared with such organisations.

Charges

Frome Cheese and Grain levies a £1 booking fee which is normally included in the ticket price but is sometimes shown separately. In addition to this a fee is charged to the customer for each transaction to cover the cost of processing credit/debit cards and postage as applicable. This may vary from time to time.
Tickets are sold on the basis that the user meets any age restriction based on the event and is not barred from entrance to licensed premises. If The Cheese and Grain Management determine that this is not the case the user may be asked to leave the building and the ticket will not be refundable.

Refunds

With the exception listed below, in the event of a cancellation a full refund will be given including a refund of all charges.
Where the cancellation results from factors outside the control of either the Cheese and Grain or the event promoter a refund will be given after deduction of the charges listed in clause 4 and an additional refund charge of £1 per ticket to help meet the cost of refunding tickets. Examples of such factors include closure of the building for public health reasons and severe weather conditions preventing the building from opening (this is not an exhaustive list).
Refunds are not given in other circumstances.
We make every attempt to contact the customer in order to process a refund, but do not issue a refund without direct contact with the customer; we attempt to make contact but customers must make sure they claim a refund within three months from the date of the cancelled event.

Alcohol/Drugs

The Cheese & Grain has a zero tolerance policy on alcohol and drug abuse within the venue. We cooperate 100% with police in ensuring all customers are both safe and sensible. This is especially so on events where under-18′s are likely to be present, so:

  • If you are, or appear to be under-18, bring some id.
  • If you want to purchase and consume alcohol, you will need id to prove you are over-18.
  • If you are or appear to be drunk, you will be refused admission.
  • If you are or appear to be drunk within the venue, we will arrange for you to leave safely.

Noise Exposure

Please note that prolonged exposure to loud music may cause damage to hearing.
