Become a Member or Volunteer

As a member of Frome Cheese and Grain Limited, the charity which runs the Cheese and Grain, you show your support and get to have a say in how it is run. Members elect the Board of Trustees which is responsible for management of the organisation, and can hold it to account at the Annual General Meeting. Members can also stand for election to the Board of Trustees.

Membership is available to individuals who live or work in the area of benefit (Frome and specified surrounding villages) who support the aims of the Cheese and Grain

Membership is also available to local charity and not for profit organisations which use the Cheese and Grain.

Membership is free. By law you are required to guarantee the sum of one pound if the Cheese and Grain ever became insolvent. You do not have to pay this up front.

We offer members the opportunity to volunteer at some events. For example we need people to help staff cloakrooms during music events. In return for this the member gets free entry to part of the event.

We also offer members occasional concessions on ticket prices where we are involved directly in the promotion or where authorised by the promoter.
